The leadership of Chalkhead announces that all church services and events have been cancelled until further notice. Prayerfully, this will not last much longer. The office will still be opened. If there is anyway we can minister to you please let us know.

There are a lot of uncertainties as we navigate what we are facing and we may not have all the answers, here are some things we need not forget.

We can stay close to Christ, stay the course and run the race with patience looking to Jesus Christ the Author and Finisher of our faith. We love you and look forward to the day we can gather together to sing praise the our Savior in unity as one body under one roof once again. But until then, we can sing in unity as one body as we worship as His church and sing His praises for Who He is. He has overcome and so have we (1st John 5:1-5).

There are four things you can do:

  1. Pray for Chalkhead Baptist church and its leadership. We want to be all that God desires for us to be. In times, like these we need God’s wisdom and His leading to accomplish His mission here on earth. We are the church and we desire to let His light shine through us as we minister to people during these times.

  2. Plan on being involved in the life of the church. Worship is being broadcast on different avenues across the internet. This will allow you to be involved with the life of the church as we worship together in a unique way.

  3. Provide avenues of ministry. Check on those in your Sunday School class by calling and seeing how they are doing. Yes, we are “social distancing” but there are many ways we can be a blessing to one another.

  4. Plan on being a good steward of what God has entrusted you with. Use your talents so others can see Christ in you through ministry, Use your time wisely, spend time with God whereas you can grow in your relationship with Him. Use your talents to keep the ministry of Chalkhead alive and well.

IN Christ,

Bro. Michael
