Michael Woodham
Pastor

I came to be the Pastor at Chalkhead Baptist in January 2019. I was born and raised around the Dothan area. I have completed my undergraduate and Master's degrees. Before coming to Chalkhead Baptist I served churches in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. My wife Amy and I have two beautiful children.
Like most people I placed my faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. I was not as committed to the Lord as I should have been and through a car accident realized that I needed to be living for Jesus instead of myself. I rededicated my life to Christ and was called in 1992 to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
My life verse is Philippians 4:19, "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Youth Minister

I started as Youth Minister at Chalkhead Baptist in November 2023. I was born and raised in the Dothan area and graduated from Rehobeth High School in 2004. I have completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama. I am married to my beautiful wife Katie and we have two wonderful children.
I gave my life Jesus Christ later in life as an adult and have been committed to living a Gospel driven life since that day. In early 2023, my family began attending Chalkhead Baptist and shortly after, received the call to ministry.
My favorite bible verse is Romans 1:16, "For I am not ashamed of the power of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and the Greek also."
