The music ministry at Chalkhead Baptist Church exists to glorify
God and lead His people into heartfelt worship through spirit-led, Christ-centered music. We strive to use our gifts to inspire, uplift, and unite the congregation in praise, creating an atmosphere where lives are transformed and God';s presence is encountered.

Ways you can get involved in the music ministry...​

PRAISE BAND — If you can sing or play an instrument and would like to join us, contact Terri Dyson today.

CHOIR — Our choir sings for holidays and special events like revivals. We’d love to have you with us!

TUNE-IN TUESDAY — This is a new opportunity for those who don’t work or work from home. We meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am and enjoy playing bells, singing the good old hymns, or enjoying games and fellowship. 

PRAY — You don’t have to be musically talented to pray that people are reached for Christ through this ministry, so please pray for us!

Hi everyone,
 

My name is Terri Dyson, and I have the joy of serving as the Music Leader here at Chalkhead. Whether you’re new to our church or have been part of our family for years, I want you to know how grateful I am for you.

Worship is at the heart of who we are as followers of Jesus. The Bible
says, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” (Colossians 3:16, NKJV). Our desire is to create an environment where everyone can encounter God through music, prayer, and praise.

Our praise team and choir are made up of people from all walks of life who love Jesus and want to use their gifts to serve Him. Whether you sing, play an instrument, or have a heart for worship, there’s a place for you in our music ministry. We believe that worship is not about performance, but about leading others to experience the presence of God.
